B&R offers the finest corporate hunts in Central Texas. Individualized hunts include lodging, gourmet meals featuring B&R signature wild game dishes, numerous hunting venues and vast amounts of Texas Hospitality!

Corporate Retreats

B & R weekend retreats are personalized for our clients. Let us know what you want and we will make it happen. You will be lodged in our fully restored, 1920's vintage farm house (The Timmermann Homestead). As the sun sets over vast Texas cornfields, enjoy evening drinks on our nostalgic front porch followed by some superb B & R cuisine.
Recreational options include floating the Comal or Guadalupe River, hunting Chukar, playing golf, a 15 passenger van for any and all transportation needs and of course shooting limits of dove. All hunts include lodging, dove hunting, bird cleaning, wonderful meals, and 24-hour pampering. Basic packages start at $650.00 per hunter.

Proposed Schedule of Events for September/October

Friday
  • Arrive between 1:00 and 2:00 at The Homestead.
  • Unload, set-up and relax with a beer on the front porch.
  • 3:30-7:00 1st hunt of the weekend.
  • 7:00-8:00 drinks and grilled appetizers. (A sampling of the hunt, including B & R's signature bacon wrapped dove stuffed with sauteed mushrooms, onions, serranos, & Mexican Cojita cheese)
  • 8:00-9:00 dinner: Spinach salad with red onions, and balsamic vinaigrette, sliced New York strip with creamy gorgonzola sauce, garlic mashed potatoes, and sauteed fresh green beans. You can request the dessert of your choice: homemade fudge cake or fresh apple crostata, both served with Blue Bell ice cream.
  • 9:00-???? More front porch time or a trip into our historic town.
Saturday
  • 6:00 a.m. wake up call
  • 6:30 Fresh coffee and breakfast rolls from the oldest bakery in Texas.
  • 7:00-10:00 2nd Hunt.
  • 10:00-11:00 Settler's Brunch (German Bratwurst with onion, bell pepper & sauerkraut served with and delicious German potatoes)
  • 12:00-3:00 Nothing beats a horseshoe or washer tournament, cold beer under the pecan trees, and music.
  • 3:00-6:00 Finish the morning limits, if need be.
  • 6:00-8:00 Gristmill restaurant in downtown Gruene for dinner.
  • 8:00-???? Live music at Gruene hall
Sunday
  • 7:00 a.m. wake up call with fresh coffee.
  • 7:30 Breakfast (Mexican style Migas with homemade flour tortillas and beans...fabulous).
  • 8:00-10:30 4th and Final Hunt.
  • 11:00-12:00 Checkout

The price of this package includes all bird processing, transportation to and from the fields, restaurants, bars, and anywhere you need to go. Soft drinks, water, and tea will be provided. You will need to provide any alcoholic beverages you desire, guns and ammunition. If you need hunting stools, let us know and they will be provided, but only with advance notice. Other than the listed items, the package is all-inclusive excluding the meal Saturday evening at the Gristmill. We ask that you review the menus and let us know if anyone in your party has food allergies.

Staff: Kyle Reneau will be on site for the duration of your stay. There will also be two bird boys on site 24 hours a day to clean birds, take you into town, transporting drinks, etc. These boys are in college and will work extremely hard for you. They work strictly for tips so please take care of them. All tips should be given to Kyle and he will disperse the money to the boys, cooks, and the hostess.

We only run one corporate hunt at a time. This ensures your party's private use of the facilities and our undivided attention. We pride ourselves on detail and customer care and would love to have your business. Because we offer exclusive hunts, our September minimum hunt is for 10 hunters. The price for the suggested package listed above is $750 per gun, and modifications can be made to meet your needs. Please let us know how we can further accommodate you!
